Additional Learning Support

At Warrington Collegiate, we recognise that each of our students has different needs and we work hard to make sure that you have everything you need to succeed.

Learning Facilitators are available to all students to assist them with their studies (e.g. one-to-one or group support, exam support, provision of specialist equipment, support from interpreters etc.)

Study Skills gives students the opportunity to gain extra help with maths and English, if needed.  If students need regular help with numeracy and literacy they will be referred to a weekly session in Study Skills where a Learning Adviser will work out a study plan relevant to your needs (e.g. covering areas such as spelling, punctuation, essay writing etc.).

Disability Support

If you have a learning difficulty and/or a disability there are lots of ways that we can support you.

Our newly built campus provides easy access to students with disabilities and wheelchair access is available in all main college areas.

If you need additional support, our staff are on hand to help and will put an individual support package in place to cater for your specific requirements.  Examples of the additional support available include one-to-one support both in and out of the classroom, specialist software and equipment and examination support.
